Self-monitoring and food safety

Self-monitoring  



Self-monitoring means, all the measures taken by operators to ensure that at all stages of production, processing and distribution, products of which they are responsible :

- they meet the regulatory requirements relating to food safety;
  - they meet the regulatory requirements relating to product quality, for which the Agency is responsible;
  - they meet the requirements for traceability and monitoring of effective compliance with these requirements.

 In order to help the companies to fulfill this legal obligation, a sectoral guide was developed.
